We went to the hospital and the doctor said it was a normal rsv infection. He didn't prescribe anything and told us to give him plenty of rest and fluids. His temp go up and down, around 38 - 40 C. Is it normal for a fever to last that long if it's RSV related?

RSV is pretty serious in babies..... CALL the doctor now and tell them he's had a fever for 9 days. That's waayyyy too long to let go untreated.

definite... take him to the well being care specialist quickly. it really is the rule of thumb. If the fever doesn't reply to Tylenol... If this is followed by potential of variations in sleep trend... IF... a baby runs a fever for more effective than 40 8 hours

No, it isnt. RSV runs its course, but the fever subsides once they are over the worst of it. A fever for that many days running is a sign his body is still trying to fight off the infection, and he might need more help in order to do so. Please call your pede.

Have you consulted with your pediatrician? This doesn't sound good at all. Maybe he needs to be on antibiotics. i would get a second opinion. I learned this the hard way. If something seems out of place , even a little with you baby then do'nt let it go. If you have a children's hospital around you then go to the ER there. They are much more in tune with what's going on with kids.

No, you need to go to the doc. See a different doc because this one is crazy. No one needs to have a fever that long.

Nine days? I think that's a little too long. I would have him re-evaluated by his pediatrician again. Something else has got to be going on by now.
