That really chaps my hide when I'm going to visit a site and some other site pops in uninvited. I have two popup blockers; one from Yahoo and one from Google. I've had them for months. But it's only in the last month that I've been getting popups. I have Norton and Webroot spymaster. I guess they dont work either.
Can anythig stop this?

If you are using internet explorer, select Tools>Pop-up Blocker>Pop-up Blocker Setting change at the bottom. Could be spyware. Norton sucks! Download, install and run:
Free Anti-Spyware:
--SPYBOT - SEARCH & DESTROY http://www.safer-networking.org/ Download and install Spybot - Search & Destroy with its TeaTimer option. This will provide realtime spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with the program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software.
--AD-AWARE http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware Download and install Ad-Aware. You should use this program to scan your computer on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software in conjunction with Spybot.
--SpywareGuard http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html to catch and block spyware before it can execute.
--SpywareBlaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place. Install & update SpywareBlaster with the latest definitions. After you have updated, click the button - enable protection for all unprotected items.

Try using a different browser such as Firefox. At the very least, make sure you're running Internet Explorer 7.0. Also, make sure you do a good sweep of spyware using something like Spybot.

it sounds like adware for me. if your popup blocker can't help, then the problem is in your computer not on some websites. you need an antispyware to stop this:

looks like you have a hijacker get someone who knows somputers and download hijack this (its free) tell them to use it but be careful because if they delete something wrong your computer will be a little screwed up so make sure it is somebody you trust then install a good antivirus
