Ok here's the deal. Im planning on sending an anonymous valentine to the girl i like, not to get with her just to give her a valentine. Because i heard she was talking to someone, after i give this to her i will in no way pursue her i just want to get my feelings out. Well im a sophomore and she's a freshmen and im planning on giving the valentine(a letter) to her friend to give to her tomarrow. But im afraid that her friend will tell her that its me(even though she said she wouldn't, i didn't tell her who the girl was). And im not planning on being embarassed in front of 20 freshmen, since we are in the same class due to me starting history late. What do you guys think i should do. Should i tell her friend to keep queit about me and hope that she doesn't tell, should i say its from a friend of mine, or should i call the whole thing off altogether. Your advice would really help in my decision since I really told no one else about the situation.

There's no embarrassment from telling someone how wonderful or special they are. For instance, last year I liked (and still like) a girl who went to my school. I was a Junior and she was a Sophomore but I wrote a poem, sat down next to her in front of about 5 other Sophomores and watched her read my poem to herself. I'm not saying I felt entirely cool and confident the entire time but nobody ever bothered me about it. I say go for it.

Here's a suggested way to do it, which may work in your situation.

Give her the Valentine's letter yourself, but don't make a big deal of it. Just smile and hand it to her saying, "Happy Valentine's Day, kid". Try to avoid being nervous. Just be casual. Then carry on about your business as normal.

Chances are she'll be really pleased.

In my opinion (from experience of being a teenage girl) there is no way her friend will keep it a secret.

Mabey you could get a guy to give it to her and say that it's from one of his friends? Girls are MUCH more likely to spill a secret like that than guys!
