It is an inspiron 2650. When I am entering texr for em's or answering a question here, or just im'ing someone. My laptop will scramble the words. I will be watching what I am typing both on screen & keys, & suddenly my curser will jump backwords & begin entering text or letters inside of another word! Am I doing something wrong? Or do all laptops do this? It's a good thing I have spell check! lol!

Everything you have pointed out is an Internet or network based application so I would be inclined to assume that you have a problem with your network / Internet settings.
i would look through all of the setting on the application / Internet and ensure that nothing is out of the norm.

Also the mouse settings may have been altered to high sensitivity.

I have been working with desktops (not laptops) however I have still not heard of this being a common / major problem.

The likely hood may also be that your system may correct the problem. Or it could be a ram based problem, in which your system runs so slow the system has trouble understanding where to place the text.

what did you expect from a dell? this is what you get when you buy a dell...... 1 problem for every 2 dollars in the total price, 3 different people from India being paid a quarter a day to call themselves tech support, and 4 mins of use between each call to "tech support".

no not all laptops do this
if you are typing, and accidentyl hit esc it will cause whatever you are typing to be deleted
if your computer is slow, it will take a while to process you typing request, and it might get confused
you might want to take it into a maitanence shop and see if they can help. I hope this helped you

it happens when you leave the courser in the same place for a long time. the computer assumes that u want to click there so it moves the courser in response.

You have been hacked. It is possible someone has either remote access or even remote control of your computer.
