Ok so I have had my job for almost 2 years now. I get medical and dental paid vacation time, sick pay holiday pay etc. I have only had 1 raise and it was when I was here for 7 months. How could I ask for a raise without sounding odd? I need some help.

Also it is a very small company there is only 9 of us. So I know that there is no way of moving up in position but I just want more money.

I just looked in my employee hand book on raises and here is what it says:

Merit increases are based on job performance and responsibilities rather than on seniority or automatic increase systems. In considering merit increases, your supervisor evaliates the results you have achieved in relation to performance expectations at your job level. If you are capable of assuming greater responsibilities, you will be considered for promotions when they become available. Management will decide whether an immediate ay increase is appropriate at the time of your promotion.

please help

You'll have to decide if this strategy would work for your situation....

If you uncomfortable bringing the subject up with your supervisor, you could always act ignorant on the situation. Next time you are having a casual conversation, you could say something like "y'know, I have no idea how the review/raise system works here". Normally, if someone is asked to inform or educate on a particular subject, they are more than happy to help out. Maybe this will give you the answer you are looking for. It also might give you the open door you are looking for to "bring the subject up" about requesting a review/raise at this time.

Good luck!

Ask your boss if you could have a review or a performance evaluation. If it goes well you could bring up the issue of a raise.

If you need more money go to the boss and tell him so. You can even tell him why..how things are getting more expensive like gasoline. All he can say is no.. go do it now while you are thinking about it.
