is it maybe because of the loyalty to the father. And since the father wants to meet with boyfriend should he be allowed to? It is Joint Legal and Joint Residential with no Primary Residence - should one parent seek custody and let the courts decide? Father wants flexibility and freedom to adjust and work things out as they come and discuss all issues together and that seems to be to difficult.

"adjust and work things out as they come and discuss all issues together, and that seems to be difficult" It seems to be difficult for who? You? Him? My opinion is that your ex is trying to be open minded, he wants both of you to have a relationship with your son, and he's interested enough in his son's well-being to want to meet with your boyfriend. If your boyfriend is a serious relationship for you, I think it is wise for your ex to take an interest, because your boyfriend can/might have a lot of influence in your son's life. You say your son doesn't like your boyfriend, and you brush it off to 'loyalty to the father.' Do you not have any regard for your son at all, or is all your concern on your love life? Is it possible that your son has a good reason to not like your boyfriend. Does he need a good reason? He's your son for crying out loud....his world is torn into two, back and forth between mom and dad, and now here's another man in the picture.

Your son proablbly wnats a happy intact home, a place he can call home, he doesn't have that now. You do. Your ex Does. But he does not. He wants stability. He wants to be the focus of you love and attention.

Loose the Boyfriend. When your son is 18, then you can get a boyfriend but until then, focus on him. And for goodenss sakes, get him a primary home.

You should be thinking of your son, and only your son right now. Your son needs to have a place to call home. As for your ex wanting to meet your bf, I am in total agreement with him. I would want to know who my child will be spending time with. You are the one who seems to making things difficult.

I am guessing it's loyalty to the father. Now, I have never gone through this, but, I know if I ever had to, I would want to meet someone who will be with my kids! Good luck!

Yes, your son may never like any boyfriend you have, and as far as your ex meeting any of your boyfriends, well it's really none of his business. I'm sure you're not out there demanding to meet his girlfriends. I feel you should get you an experienced lawyer with this, and at least be named the domicile parent. Best of luck to you.
