your teacher is right. slavery still does exist. and takes many forms including exploitation of the children, sex abuse etc. etc. it affects the human psyche because man was not born to be a slave but a free person. and everyone of us has responsibility to maintain that human right as a sacred privilege. true some nations and many communities across the globe abuse that power and privilege and since some of them are far away we keep our distance from the evil truth. it will affect your sleep too if you knew that as of this moment millions of children go hungry and are abused in this world. have a nice "good night" if you can. hope it helps in your grasping what your teacher told you.

From the time some go to bed, till morning some have said; you can loose your best friend right in frount of your kin. Knowing to them a lesser evil gives in, to the slavery that binds them. Wheather it be drugs, money even food you will loose if you try to step in, without the thought of someone up above the stars whos holding all the cards, that might care how you fair, placeing your foot on the ledge without worring about dispare. Yes slavery exist right in our own backyards, and this affects many who could have been a star.

It makes us darker as a race. Some of the examples below are kinda true. We get cheap goods from countries that use slave labor to put items together.

It projects inequalities. It is saying people are not created equally. Thus come the discriminations, hatred and injustices.
