Go to :
http://lightscribe.com/downloadSection/windows/index.aspx

& download :
LIGHTSCRIBE SYSTEM SOFTWARE
Required to enable LightScribe functionality.

Other good stuff there too ... like free templates.

Also ... go to the HP site & look for updates drivers & firmware for the DVD drive.
Type in your model of HP Media Center & do a search
(ex: m7580n)
Then go to Software & driver downloads.

Your question is a little vauge. I cant tell if you are saying the LiSc doesnt work or that the entire CD/DVD drive doesn't work. If its just the lighscribe, I cant help you, since i dont know jack about software. But if its the entire drive, then it could be a manufacturing error. Open your case, and remove the CD drive(s) Look for the jumpers on the back. Somewhere on the drive, there should be instructions on how to set them. Set it to 'Master' or 'MA'. If you have a second drive, set that one ton 'Slave' or 'SA/Sl/SV/(whatever your drive says)' Also, make sure the cable going from the drive into the motherboard is connected firmly. Same with the power supply cable. WARNING!:!:!:! REMOVING THE CASE CAN VOID THE WARRANTY ON THE SYSTEM

Use a typical DVD rom rigidity to envision the DVD's you go with to repeat. Use DVDshrink to back up your DVD's on your confusing rigidity. while it fairly is finished, basically use ur lightscribe DVDburner to make a expertise replica of your DVD's on your confusing rigidity. word: enable DVDshrink to make AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS Folders. in case you dont, your sponsored up DVD's would be junk. DVD gamers and DVD roms seem for those folder names while attempting to play a action picture.
