Yes, just give a warning that if it happens again, he won't get to do what ever.

I think you should because it's family. I would say the same thing if it was a friend or someone because then you just him to not let it happen again and if it does take something you know he really enjoys for a few days or longer, being 14 I would know what it's like to get a bad grade and have your parents mad at you about it and how it's tourchure having something you like(like the computer or guitar) taken away from you.

Chuck-e-cheeses?
NO WAY! Don't let him go!
Beside the grade, let him go, a girl in my class got one B+ and her parent grounded her for I think a month. No IM, no phone, no technology really, it sucked, she cleaned her room 5 times.(created mess in there so she could clean again)
and get this her parents work at a Private High School, something wrong here???

If this is the first time he has gotten a bad grade, then I would give him a warning and let him go. If this is his second time and he has already been warned about not getting bad grades, then you without a doubt shouldn't let him go. Cousin's b-day or not, going is a privelege and he shouldn't be allowed to go if it's not his first time and he has been forewarned. He needs to learn early that if he's not going to obey your rules that there are going to be consequences.

Yes, you should. After all it is your nephew's birthday. But afterwards, you should ground him from something for a time you say. Or depending on the age of your son, put him in time out or something. And make him make him study hard so it won't happen again.

Was this an important report? And how bad of a grade is it? I guess I'd lean toward letting him go if it isn't a really big deal, and if he is doing well in his other classes.

yes, it is his cousin's. Come on, it's family. I am a teacher, and I do not believe in taking away parties if children get a bad grade. Next time just help him.

Ofcourse. Punish him in a certain way though.

My mom told me that if you discipline that child too harshly though, then you would do worse in school. That's because the child is thinking more about the discipline than the school work.

It's a bday party why wouldn't ya let him go? Take all his entertainment (video games, movies, puter, etc) from him until he gets his grades to an acceptable mark

yes, if it's not effecting his grade. It's a daily report it doesn't mean anything. You shouldn't keep him from visiting family.
