Emotions are one of the most basic roots for human behaviors. Emotions basically controll everything that we do. However basic human behaviors stem from basic needs. We need to feed. We need to sleep. We need to feel comfortable. Everything else has been developed from centuries of humans.

Grooming. Humans like to fuss over their appearance.
Play. Humans like to enjoy recreation.
Sleep Rituals. Humans like to do a chain of tasks before bed.

humans are usually more attracted to the tragic flaws of life as opposed to the "positive parts"

for example:
when we look through the newspapers we are more interested in articles explaining a murder than we are interested in an article explaining a charity
