Total scam, and it most likely originated in Nigeria. It's just spam, delete it.

that's a protracted working scam. there is no such element as a lottery that selections random digital mail addresses. there is no lottery that would not require you to purchase a cost ticket. it fairly is the definition of a lottery - you will desire to purchase a cost ticket to be waiting to win

Probably a scam.
If you won the lottery online, they'd probably call your house instead of sending an email, correct?
But that's just a guess.

It's a scam. First, you shouldn't have to pay to collect a prize, but more importantly, if you didn't enter a lottery, then why would you win one?

Everyone receives those spam emails.

If you didn't play, you didn't win.
If the email address is from a freebie account, it is a scam.
If they want you to send money to receive your prize, it's a definite scam.
