We have an infant son who spent this past Saturday night at Grandma's. We both work F/T and i'm in school and have a class wed. night so I thought it would be good to go to dinner saturday night. due to last minute reservations, the earliest they could seat us was 9:15pm. He refused to go because of the time. Mind you, he was off work the next day AND today...I was so pissed I began to cry. He NEVER wants to do hardly anything on the weekend and acts like doing anything after 7pm is a crime. He has no friends and doesnt do anything but work , sleep, and watch tv. He just got a great promotion at work and makes good $$, but I am miserable because our social life SUCKS!! We don't do anything socially and I have fantasies about being with other men. We have not been intimate since last year - and when he attempts to, maybe once every 2 weeks, i reject his advances. This is my 2nd marriage and I feel like its headed toward divorce. Should I even be mad he didn't want to go to dinner?

I think you two should sit down and discuss your relationship, because if you keep going the way you are going, divorce will be on the cards.

It sounds like you don't enjoy each other's company. You want to do things, he refuses. He wants to do things, you refuse.

You both have to sort it out, and sooner rather then later.

You definitely need to address the issues that have been eating at your relationship over time. This clearly is not just a one-time issue. You are both busy and probably pretty frustrated by now, but you have a child and you need to both put a priority on the relationship so that he will have a family to grow up in. You must have known his schedule before you got married. One thing you can do is to try to remember why you got married in the first place and see what happens if you act like you appreciate him for what he does do right. Rejection will not help in any case, for either of you. To address the issues, you need to have an environment where you are working to help each other. By all means, get outside help if you need it, and you probably do - for the sake of your son and your own happiness.
