TTC. My LMP was Jan.14 and I was ovulating or shown high LH surge on Jan29., Jan30 and less surge on Jan31. I used clear blue ovulation predictor tests on Jan 29 and Jan30. But used Walgreen's prediction kit on Jan31, shown a line close to the control line. We had intercourse all these days as well as on Feb.1. My period is varying from the time I am trying to conceive. I did HPT on Feb.7 and Feb.9 came out to be negative. Is it too early to test? Should I consider Jan31st as my date of ovulation or Jan30. I did not start my cycle yet if I consider Jan30 as my date of ovulation I am 13dpo if Jan31. I am 12dpo. I do not have any pregnancy symptoms and not stressed out but very very curious to find out the result. Should I test today or wait for another 4days to test it??? Thanks a lot in advance.

BTW I used First response home pregnancy test which predicts 5 days earlier.

I think you should wait for another 4 or 5 days so you don't keep spending money on tests. I was like you and couldn't wait to see if i was pregnant and spent a small fortune on tests! My test eventually showed positive 13 days post ovulation

That's funny...my lmp was Jan. 14 also, I did a hpt (First Response as well), last Wednesday. I had a dr. appt. last Friday so they did another urine test. Both negative, however I have not started yet. With our last pregnancy, I took a hpt 1 day after my missed period, it was negative. But, 1 week later, after still no signs of my period, I took another test, obviously, it was positive. However, last time, I had some pregnancy symptoms. I don't have any now. I don't always have regular cycles now, either, but I did then. So, I don't have much of an answer for you, but, I know how it feels to play the waiting game. We just began trying, so, it could be a long road for us. But, I'm going to wait until next Monday before I take another test. Good luck!!!

Assuming you are on a 28 day cycle, you're likely to be most fertile from Thursday, January 25, 2007 to Tuesday, January 30, 2007. If you were to get pregnant during that time, your due date would be Sunday, October 21, 2007. I would wait another week if you dont have a regular cycle or either blood test with your doctor.

I actually have the same question as you. It was weird how I stumbled upon your question. I just took a hpt today and it came back negative but I was ovulating on Jan 31. Is it too early for the test to detect pregnancy for me as well.
I have been feeling very crampy for about a week now and I know that is a sign but it might be my "mind over matter."

yes it is to early to tell because if you are than you would only be 4 weeks most Dr's and test say wait in til your period is missed for a week or 2.
if you are than you would of had to have sex on 1-28 because contraception usually takes place 2 weeks after your period.
If you are not don't give up and try for next month,
