well, depends, is ur prom really formal?
i know mine is...everyone is buying poofy dresses...which is kind of annoying.
mine is long...and kind of poofy at the botton (its not cinderella type, its straight down and just a little bit poofy at the bottom.
if your prom is formal, i would suggest long, but if u wanna stand out, wear a hot short dress!!!!! :)
whatever u look good in and whatever u feel u think is the perfect dress!!!!!

Definitely a long dress. They have 2 pieces, hot pink ones, sequined ones whatever so standing out isn't a problem if that's what you want. There is pretty much the perfect long prom dress for any girl. It doesn't have to be boring just b/c it is long. Also, in the future you will be able to wear nice short dresses to semi-formal parties or fancy restaurants, etc. but it may be a long time (or never) after high school that you'll be able to wear a long evening gown.

It depends on where this prom is going to be. If its going to be in a informal place, like the school gym/cafeteria, you should definitely go for a short dress. If you're going to a really nice place like a hotel to have this prom you should get a longer dress. You can also ask other people in your grade and see what they are planning on doing.

it depends on where you live. If you live in a warmer place like near the coasts, i would wear a short flirty but elegant dress. But if you live more inland like me, I would wear i long dress but make it colorful so it isn't like the boring and traditional prom dresses.

i think it all depends on how formal it is. my schools prom is formal but people can wear either long or short dresses. i think short dresses are more fun and they are cute. long dresses are more formal and elegant.
but i am not really sure which you should wear, i dont even know what i want to wear yet, i am leaning towards short though.

i think if u got a date long dress no date short dress unless u go with lots of friends u could go with either

I liek short dresses for semiformals and long dresses for proms.

i really wouldnt have a problem with either, but if i had to choose i would choose the short because with with a short one u can dance better, also they will see ur legs. with a long your going to get tired because your going to be having to hold it all night.

What's your style? If your more or a funky/spunky, fun style: go short. But the classic and personally, more beautiful, is long.
