I have a white hair growing on the front right side of my tongue. It's about the length of an eyelash now, and it's really thick and rigid. People notice it all the time, and usually stop talking for a few seconds. When I pull on it, my whole tongue hurts. Should I keep it or Pluck it?

Are you sure its hair , firstly brush it with a toothbrush just to make sure it is. Then put an ice cube on it for one minit (to numb it)if it is hair , then pluck it.

It's called geography tongue...stay away from fats and sugar and see if it doesn't clear up. Keep it, it will go down when your body settles down. But it is a sign that one of your organs is overacting but most likely it's from a cold or food....take some vitamins with c.

i read about that condition in a medical book once. it said that if you scrub your tongue with a toothbrush, it should come off. try it and see...

if it doesnt work, id suggest seeing a doctor. or numbing ur tongue with that stuff u use to numb toothaches and cold sores and then pluck.

that sucks. good luck man!

Ew, for starters hun, i wouldnt listen to what sherri said abt shaving ur tongue cuz it might grow back twice as thick. Call your doctor and ask him/her abt it and see what they can do abt it. Good Luck!
