I'm sure you've all heard the rumor, and as a Laker fan I welcome it, but I don't like the idea of giving up Farmar(and Kwame to a lesser degree). What do you guys think? Should the trade happen? And no bias, dumb answers please.

rumor is for the expiring contracts of mckie and mihm (between 6 and 7 million), 2 draft picks, farmar (good riddance as he's a useless bum)

and the tough part is giving up Kwame as he is the best defensive presence down low but is rumored to possibly be involved

with the nets giving up Kidd and possibly Collins

as I laker fan I'd prefer it didn't involve Kwame but it should happen for the short term as the lakers can turn into win now mode and Kidd might help in Bynums development with easy passes

Kidd
Kobe
Walton
Odom
Bynum (hopefully still with Brown)
nice rotation

nets do it to unload Kidds contract and helps to rebuild as that team is going nowhere fast

I wouldn't give up Farmar. He shown potential this year and plays better defense than Smush so I rather see Farmar stay. As for Kwame, get rid of him as I hope they can develop Bynum more. Chris Mihm has to go also and I don't mind Turiaff getting more playing time...he seems to hustle more. With that being said, I agree with some of the things said earlier, Kidd just won't be a fit in the regular triangle offense. You probably be best getting a better outside shooter than Kidd.

there's no way kidd is coming to the lakers simply beacause of salaray cap restrictions. kidd is making nearly 14 mil while kwame is making less than 10. farmar on the other hand makes less than 1 mil per year.

even if the lakers wanted to the numbers simply won't add up and to take on an aging point guard making so much while giving up an able bodied big man in Kwame and promising rookie Farmar.

are you forgetting that there's no need for a true point guard in the triangle? every possession simply goes into the center and gets passed back out depending on the defense. as exciting it is by the sound of kidd joining the lakers its just impossible unless the lakers throw in smush parker.

if i were kupchak i would recommend throwing in the expiring contracts of chris mihm 7 mil, aaron mckie 3 mil, smush parker, and a first round draft pick to compensate the nets.

i actually like that commerce, will no longer be able to assert I tell that to human beings too oftentimes utilising this commerce gadget. The Lakers get a solid factor shelter to push the pace and get the ball to Kobe and additionally Kidd will surely make Bynum useful in L.A. And the Nets get a solid 3-factor shooter, an exceedingly solid versatile participant in Odom, and then mutually as paying for and merchandising Kidd would appear as if backcourt suicide, a Farmar-Marcus Williams blend would not be too undesirable alongside with of Vinsanity. solid commerce, has ability.

Kidd would work good for the Lakers it will give Kobe the much needed help and take pressure off of him. Odom would get more involved in the game. I wouldn't get rid of Farmar you need him coming off the bench. They can have Brown and Evans or somebody. The Nets wouldn't want much Kid is 33.

No.....Farmar is kinda doing something? Giving up Kwame Brown? Phil would be DUMB to do that. Kwame can be a force dowlow. Sure Jason has some numbers......He rebounds and scores....but with Kobe....I dunno if they could work together well...Well see what happens I guess. It might be good to get a point gaurd, but then again it could hurt the Lakers....and also Kobe.

i would not give away kwame and farmar.... with chris mihm they should wait for him to play before deciding to trade him... and mckie gets paid for sitting on the bench..they should trade him if they arent gonna use him.... if i was mitch, i wouldnt trade them but i would waive mckie to save money......

We all know Kobe does not share the spot light with anybody.

We all know that Jason Kidd runs and directs the floor at all times.

Do you see Kobe being able to deal with this? HELL NO!!

It will never happen.
