I'd definitely be a member of the Order. I think that it be more suitable for me because my beliefs and principles match up with theirs. Their environment is one that is hospitable, not hostile. The people who do belong or side with the Order are people who I would most likely be friends with. They work with each other because of their friendships and their will to work towards the better good, not because they're forced to by commitment or fear for their life.

I would rather be a memeber of the Order of the Phoenix because being a Death Eater you have a real chance of being killed by He who must not be named just for doing something he did not like, I would rather be killed for doing something I want to do.

A member of the Order!!! Yes, being killed would be first up, because I don't think I would be very good at magic ( kind of like Neville). A Death Eater's life seems...dull.

I'd rather be a member of the Order of the Phoenix - I would be less worried about Dumbledore getting mad and killing me, as Voldemort is wont to do.

I'd rather be a member of the Order of the Phoenix!
People that joined Voldemort became Death Eaters because he promised to give them more power, would allow them to exert their power against his/their enemies, or that they would be under his protection. The problem with that (aside from the fact that they are evil and criminals) is that they are never safe. They are terrorists, whose lives are at constant risk - both from discovery and prosecution by the Ministry of Magic and from Voldemort! Their leader is a lunatic that does not hesitate to torture or kill _anyone_ who gets in the way of what he wants; that includes his enemies, innocent bystanders, and his Death Eaters. He has no loyalty to them at all, he left Quirrell to die in Sorcerer's Stone. They are killed if they change their minds and try to leave his service, like Regulus Black and Igor Karkaroff. I don't see why anyone would willingly serve him unless they are as weak willed and pathetic as Peter Pettigrew or as insane and fanatical as Bellatrix LeStrange. I'd rather die standing against him and fighting for what I believe in like Sirius, than live at his mercy.... not that he has any!

Order of the Phoenix, Hands down. Don't think I'm quite evil enough to go around and kill people just for the fun of it...
