Yes, You'll get to see the games. I believe the only games that will be blacked out are locally televised games. Like for instance, I live in New York, so Yankee and Mets games won't show because of restrictions from YES and SportsNet New York. Also, it's good that you have DirecTV becuase a deal is imminent that MLB will make an exclusive deal with DirecTV that gives them the rights to the package, and screws everyone else out of it. Order it through your dish provider, they'll know all the details. It's great though, I love it but probably won't get to see it, but that's Lord Selig for ya.

I have had MLB extra innings the past two years. It is a good deal because you get to see a lot of major league games. My suggestion if you are just interested in the Red Sox is that you order the Sports Package from direct tv. That is what it is called and it includes NESN. Instead of watching just the Red Sox games on MLB extra innings, you should get NESN and will be able to watch most of the Red Sox games on that and whatever other programs are on NESN. I think the Sports Package is a little cheaper and will suit your purpose for watching Red Sox games better. Not only do you get NESN, but it comes with 29 other sports channels. I think I am going to switch to the sports pack this year. Hope the info helped.
