My dad, my sister (12), and I (15) are driving from New England to Nevada.. it's over 40 hours in the car, except it won't be in a car, it's a Uhaul truck! Major help needed in ideas for this 3 or 4 day driving trip! I have an iPod, we've got a laptop (that won't have internet while driving, but can be plugged in to charge in truck). Any ideas? I imagine we'll be playing the Alphabet game a little too much....

You could come up with a list of questions and conversation starters and break one out every time you get real board. Example - Ask your Dad how he knew when he was in love with your mom. Find out his favorite subject in High School. I'm sure there are a few things that your dad would like to talk about.
It will be a good chance to see a huge part of America that you might never see again. Make sure that you guys take plenty of stops and enjoy the trip, we live in a beautiful country!

What a great opportunity for dad and daughters to get to know each other than a road trip! Think of it as an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.

You could also buy a travel guide that lists good, local places to eat on the road or that lists strange places to visit between new england and nevada.

good luck and enjoy your drive.

Keep a note book and write down all the license plates....try to get every state. We have also played a game called the name game....start with A and name a girls name that begins with that letter and so on ....no repeats....it can be very funny trying to come up with girls/guys names for letters like Q, X, Z.......Hope this helps......don't kill each other...lol
