I've not spoken to my close female friend for 2 months as we got to close.I told her that I wanted no contact so that I could get over my feelings for her. She only wanted to be friends.

I've tried to get bck in touch as I've got over her now and I'm interested in another girl. She's been ignoring my attempts to get in touch-I've apologised if I wasn't tactful in the way I said I wanted no contact for awhile

She's just written:i really do not have the energy to keep explaining things to you.I will be civil but i'm afraid i feel the close friendship is lost...........

Why she like this - she wanted to be friends....surely she'll still not be hurting from me not wanting no contact for awhile........?

All lost?

You have answered your own question. Yes she was hurt but why has she written that she does not have the energy to keep explaining things to you? I don't think you are telling the whole story. When you say 'we' got too close, do you mean 'we' or you wanted more than she was willing or able to give? If so then I doubt that you will ever be able to regain the close friendship you had before. She may not only be hurt by your rejection of your friendship but does she know why you had to stop seeing her? If not then she will certainly not understand why you just dropped her without a full explanation. If she does then she may not be comfortable being in your company so soon again. She is willing to be civil, that is a start. If you really do want to regain friendship with her then you are going to have to accept her decision and be patient and hope that time will heal the wound. If she is uncomfortable because she knows why you broke up your friendship then I doubt that you will ever regain her as a friend.

You are sending her mixed messages, what do you expect! First you tell her no contact, now you want contact...AND you have another girl in tow now too-go figure! She was the one who only wanted to be friends you say at the top of your post-(YOU got too close if you ask me, not her!)-you should have been just a friend then, instead of getting too involved and close. I wouldn't be surprised if she See's you as a 'fair weather' friend from now on. Just leave things as they are for now, let events take their natural course.

She has probably been fighting to get over you and the close friends thing won't work as anybody getting over a relationship will be hurt and it would hurt more trying to get into her life again yet you will want to be with another girl, put yourself in her shoes how would you feel ?
I know i'd be hurting so bad if an ex i cared for wanted back in my life but i couldn't have him .

Bog!!! It looks like the end of the line. Anyway you have the other one who has the love hate thing going on (I don't believe in love hate things mind you) You should give a real relationship a try instead of worrying about this person who's emotional bond with you sounds like blue tack rather than no more nails.

The unfathomable riddle of why they do what they do. If there was an answer to that there would be no art, no music and a lot less pleasure. Enjoy the good memories and leave her to simmer in her bile for another few months.

Tell her all the reasons why you didn't want to contact her and just keep telling her how sorry you are..... If that doesn't work then do something nice for her like get a gift. I think she probably took it the wrong way.

Right, I guess that although she told you she only wanted to be friends, now that you're interested in another woman may have had an impact on her and discover that she may be having stronger feelings towards you, as it seems she's quite jealous

Well if you weren't tactful then it's understandable and maybe you made her feel she had to explain herself to you. Remember treat people as you want to be treated yourself would you like it if it were the other way around, I don't think you would.

your reaction to her cooled her friendship. Having ignored her, it might be impossible to restore the link, but sending an old fashioned letter with your explaination might help
