if 96% of the garden peas in a popluation at genetic equlibrium are tall. what is the frequency of the dominant allele?

In HW, p = the frequency of the dominant allele, q = the frequency of the recessive allele.

the frequency of homozygous recessives (short) = q squared, = .04

q = the square root of .04 = 0.2

p + q = 1, therfore q = 0.8
