nothing, I do it all the time and I've worn glasses since 1977. I in fact like using dish soap because it cuts grease, which, if you are hot and sweaty, or touched your glasses to push them up your nose, is what's on the lenses. Just rinse them well in warm or even hot water, and they'll be nice and clean. Or take a bottle of rubbing alcohol and rinse them in that- that will cut any soapy residue (the optician at the eyeglass store showed me that trick).

They will come clean...Liquid dish soap is good for washing your glasses with..Just use soap and water and your fingers. Rinse well.. Don't use dish cloths or paper towels that could scratch your lens.

I wash my mom's glasses everyday for the last 5 years with bathroom hand soap. It doesn't matter. They come clean. No problems at all. Have also used dawn. No biggie.

i have used dish soap to clean my grandma's glasses so i should know that it wont do anything but clean them. just ndo use bar soap. that could result in anything.
