I'm just wondering, does 24 (tv series) actually occur in real time?

That has been the premise of the show from the beginning. If it takes 10 minutes to drive from point A to point B check your watch because Jack Bauer is there on time. This makes the show what it is. You see the hustle and bustle of a well oiled machine and all the successes and mishaps along the way.

They were going to change the premise of the show after the first season and make it 24 hours but not all the same day. To claim the validity of not all terrorist events happen in one day and thats your only chance to catch the bad guys and tie up all your loose ends. Also it would have broadened the storylines some to be able to travel outside of Los Angeles. Gladly they did not go to this style of script. I don't think it would be as exciting if you were given a cliffhanger that Jack would have to resolve on Tuesday or Thursday.

My only two problems is 1.That no one uses the bathroom anymore. They used it in the first season but after that I guess CTU has trained all of their staff to just "hold it" in crisis mode! 2.All terrorist activity takes place either in or just outside of Los Angeles.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE 24! It is the only show I watch on T.V. it is actually kind of a waste that I pay $53.00 a month to Comcast and I only watch 1 to 2 hours of television a week and it is local programming!!!

Pushing Daisies - think of if Tim Burton and Dr. Seuss did a secret tutor at the same time... The look after - cheer for the corrupt law enforcement officials Rescue Me - fireman behaves badly The Sopranos - yo! Heroes - a different take on the superhero form Babylon 5 - a grand sci-fi epic interior the custom of Lord Of The rings, Lensman, and Greek Mythology Farscape - yet another sci-fi tutor. in simple terms watch it. believe me. pink Dwarf - don't be a smeghead, watch this super British sci-fi comedy! All of those are on DVD, having ended their run on television it sluggish in the past.
