Be open ,be honest ,be confident that it is not you that is at fault and a good employer will respect you for it .Anyone who doesn't respect honesty ,doesn't deserve to have your services.Hang in there and good luck.

I agree with Madge F, but I'll add a bit more.
Once you get an interview, that company has already decided that you can do the job. You're already on the short list. What they're trying to do by interviewing those on that short list is to narrow it down to one. In other words, they're looking for reasons to exclude people. So your goal in the interview is not to be excluded.
Never say bad things about a former employer because it suggests that you might say bad things about the next one. And it suggests, correctly or not, that you might be some chronic malcontent. Don't bring up your leaving the previous job. If the interviewer asks, just say you felt a personality conflict there. Period. Or say what Madge suggests. Don't elaborate.
The last Henry Ford (not the original one) said once, "Never complain, never explain." Good advice.

Just explain to the interviewer what a great worker you are & don't say exactly why you left your job. If you can't handle a rude boss, then you don't belong in the work force. If that question comes up in an interview then that company isn't the right fit.

Don't say anything derogatory about the last company you worked for, the new one won't like it, afterall you can then leave their company at a later date and gossip about them. Say you want to progress within a company and there was no progression in the last one, or it would have taken years to get to management level. Only say nice things about the previous employer

You do not ever deserve abuse from a boss. You work hard to make that "superior" richer. I have found another way in which to FIRE your boss and work for yourself. Can you picture a small child sitting on the floor with a gold pot of candy in front of her/him? You could feel the way that child feels -- joy, excitement and a journey that will change your life. Call me at 631-676-3660. I'll answer all of your questions. This is not spam!

Tell the truth. It sounds better than trying to convince them you left because it was such a fun place. It will be a cold day when you find somebody who hasn't had to work for a jerk.
