Will social security help me, or side with the creditor. People with past experience with this type of matter please.. help answer this question

With a court order (garnishment) they can freeze all your accounts up to the amount of money you owe. This includes all future deposits to your account.
After 90 days the garnishment falls off your account, without paying. Unless the bank receives an order to pay before the 90 days is up.

No...They have to take you to court first anyways, and when you go to court you tell the judge that your only income is Social Security. They may give the judgement to whoever is trying to get the money but they won't be able to actually get anything. Usually if a collectin agency knows your only income is SSI they won't even bother taking you to court, cause they know they won't get anything.

No way, ... they can maybe take you to court, but they can't do anything without using the legal system. Those guys are the scum of the earth, they'll tell you every lie in the book to scare you into paying. Talk to a lawyer if they get over aggressive.

absolutly not. and if they threaten to You can take legal action . this is just a scare tactic and with the right legal reresentation you could sue for harrasment and likly erase that debt. Good luck

If they WIN a JUDGMENT against you, they can froze your bank account, pound your car and deduct money weekly from your paycheque.
