Most people I know would never enter a Walmart. I love it! Even went to several in China! What do you think love, hate , are they evil?

I boycotted Wal-mart for years. I was never in one until 2003. I still boycotted them because of the salaries they pay. Then one day; I need glutimine (an amino). My vitamin store was closed. I was used to paying 30$. I went into Wal-Mart since it was open. 10$ for the same thing.

Sorry anti-walmart people. I am not rich and cannot just flush 20$. I started thinking. Target, K-Mart, my vitamin store, and even Macy's are low paying jobs with no benefits. Why should I pay MORE and not have the extra going to the employees. It is my theory that Target, etc. are the ones starting the Wal-Mart bad press. I needed a knife sharpener. Target wanted are really crappy one for 15$. Walmart? A BETTER one for 8$

One last thing: why is there no issue with natural food stores? I go to them too and they gouge the customer and pay crappy wages with no benefits?

Walmart has changed America forever. It's a place to buy inexpensive products but at what price.
First of all they have driven out of business many small shops which means that eventually our choices will be limited. Remember when they are the only place to shop, they will be the one to determine how much those products cost. Do you trust anyone with that power?
Secondly they have upset our balance of trade.China is sending all those products to us but we are not selling anything significant to them. Good for their economy, bad for ours. Would you want China to take our position in the world? Have you seen how many people die in Chinese coal mines. They have no safety standards in their mines. They tell you how many children you may have. They are communists.
Walmart is not evil. They are just riding on their good fortune. But there will be a price to pay. Much bigger than the cost of their products.............................

I think walmart is cool. I used to hate it because it's so freaking big and it would take forever to get out of it. Then i started going more because my sister and mom love getting clothes from there. So its all good, they are pretty reasonable on prices, and they have everything! I got a brand new 42 in plasma tv and a brand new compaq notebook from walmart! They have been good to me this year!

I like to go grocery shopping at our Super Walmart. I buy my basic needs from there. I will not however buy clothes at walmart, they are cheaply made and fall apart after one washing. My mother says that she won't ever shop at walmart. She just hates it because she owns a small business and she claims that Walmart is stealing all of her business. While that maybe true, I'm not going to stop shopping at walmart just because of that. Other shops just need to be competitive with Walmart.

People who refuse to enter a Wal-Mart are illogical snobs. Why pay a dollar more for a 12-pack of diet coke at the non-Walmart grocery store than you would at Walmart? Same product, cost more.

I love it. My kids love it even more (seriously, before my children could say things like "Grandma" or "pizza", they could say "Walmart!")

The only thing I hate about Walmart is that it is always so crowded. In my town Kmart is a block away from Walmart. I go to Kmart to avoid the crowds. The prices are about the same.

I only go there when I can't find what I am looking for elsewhere. I wish they would all close or play by the rules.

Wal mart sucks the blood from our society and does it in the name of profit. They make their employees use our social programs for their employee benefits so they don't have to provide health or dental care. They make sure the employees only work part time so they don't have to provide short or long term disability benefits. They stink.

They are as evil as any other business. They just seem to have made a good go at it. I like Walmart myself. They don't have them in Europe (at least in Belgium) yet, but I liked the ones in Tennessee.

I like their prices, but sometimes the quality of their products isn't the best.
