The best colors in make up (skin) and nail polish are those who make you look alive. No mistake in wearing the red shades, be it reds, pinks, oranges or corals. If you are white wear something from bright to dark, if you are dark, wear something from bright to light. When trying other kind of colors, do the same. Some colors, like black and purple are the colors of death, use them just for special ocassions, like Halloween.
And no, a french manicure does not make you look alive...sorry.

It really depends on your skin tone...the best thing to do is to ask your manicurist or stop by a makeup counter in a department store to find out what colors look best with your skin tone. Most people can't go wrong with shades of red or berry though, they work well on most skin tones.

I always trust Essie with my nail polish needs. They make the best range of colors with a fun twist to them (they have really cute names for their colors). They make great nudes/pinks and reds which are the foundation of nail polish colors.

some really good colors would be pink and baby blue. Another color would be white tips and a clear for the rest. I hope your nails look great!

well, i like hot pink, but remember to think about what you're going to do that week. Like, you don't want to wear bright glow-in-the-dark nail polish to a funeral. And you don't want to go to play ball and get mad because someone chipped off some of your flower and rhineston french manicure. try some that make your nails low maitenance yet makes your nails look good if they chip like clear or light pink polish unless you have something special to go to or don't mind tending to your nails.

Maroon is a fine color which works well for a business casual look and still looks hot without being considered over-the-top.

Eh, any color really. Just avoid yellow and white. Darker colors tend to be better, depending on your skin tone and such.

I like red, or pink,(light or dark) and like a redish orange is nice too, mostly i like shades of red because they really stand out but are classic too.
