I know how you feel. If people would actually get out and travel with an eye towards learning other cultures instead of assuming we are superior, they would get an eye and ear full. There are better ways, and carrying preconceived notions limits learning.

Read some history. France was involved in Vietnam way before the US. The Eastern Bloc countries of Europe suppresed their people and threatened the free world up until the 80's during the Cold War. England and France along with Isreal attacked the Gaza area in 1956 during the Suez crisis. Oh and the English treatment of Northern Ireland should make those from the UK proud.

Most liberals are as intelligent as a slug and their heads are as fat as their asses. Speaking of well traveled, why don't you travel to one of these other fine countries and report back on the beauty of socialism and totalitarian governments. That is, after all, the ultimate in BIG government.

It has worked??? Where? Socialism doesn't work dude! I don't want big government in my life, I get by just fine without them. I now people like your self hate to work for a living and like the government to step in and Give you everything, but we don't! Universal Health Care is a disaster, ask the Canadians! Another Kool-aide drinker heard from!

No I would not say that about Americans. And the perception that "it works in other countries just fine," depends on what you mean by "just fine."

Most of us will not happily hand over our another 20-30% of our paychecks for your healthcare. Get your own.

Only some Americans are fat and dumb, but they seem to have more power than the thinkers...maybe they are more forceful. Should we take off our thinking caps and put on our boxing gloves?

We do not need either one. They both cost way too much and we already pay too much taxes. The countries you speak of have much higher tax rates. So, there is a trade off. And, it has nothing to do with war.

Those other countries have higher taxes and gas that sells for $5.00 a liter.

I have been to other countries, and the United States is still the best.
