and I need to find transportation to and from the port where Norwegian Cruise lines sail out of, to the Sheraton North Houston at George Bush Intercontinental Airport by Friday. Can anyone recommend a taxi service that is reasonably priced and reliable. A phone number to the taxi company would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Oh boy... you are not quite screwed, but you have quite a distance to travel. You should not have stayed at the airport. First of all, any hotel on airport grounds will cost more. Let's look at the port from which you shall depart.

I just ran Mapquest... from Intercontinental to Barbours Cut (the ship terminal) is 38-1/2 miles. See if Norwegian has a shuttle bus. Ask your travel agent. As a last resort ask the concierge (but realize that they're probably getting a kickback from the taxi stand). Just DO NOT take a cab!! My guess is that you'd pay $100 each way.

Bush is at best an hour's drive from Galveston, so a taxi will be very expen$ive. Get your hotel to shuttle you there or at least to the closest Sheraton to Galveston. Contact them NOW to figure out what to do. Then take a cab. Or maybe you can fly in to Hobby airport (much closer, but still Houston). You'll have fun , no doubt, but it's nice to save a little money.

The taxi will cost you over 100 dollars to the airport. I took one from the port to Hobby Airport a year ago.

There will be taxis at the airport and also outside your hotel also outside the cruiseship terminal, you will have no problem getting around.
