How can I cange the letter meanings on windows xp e.g. the at key (@) has swapped with the two apostraphies key (").

Your computer has gone on holdiay to USA.

To correct the problem go to
Start > Control Panel > Regional Language Options

in there, click on the tab 'Languages', click on 'Details...'

Here you can change your keyboard to UK (first add UK keyboard, then remove US keyboard, it will prompt and advise the effect will take place when you reboot.

if your keyboard is set to US, set it to UK and it will be mapped out that way.
