The question here was about dissolving kidney stones. Pure lemon juice can be used and 6 glasses of coke a day (unhealthy) It dissolves nails but I am listing the answer from a doctor:Do you have any information on ways to dissolve kidney stones? —
A: Before you can do anything, you need a lab test to determine what the stone is. If it’s uric acid, you must alkalinize your urine and lower the uric acid in your body. A Living Foods Diet will go a long way on that one.
If it’s a calcium stone, acidifying your urine can help. Vitamin C, as ascorbic acid, is a great start. Your kidneys will eliminate the excess ascorbic acid you take in, and it has the ability to pick up a calcium ion on its way through. You also need to increase your magnesium intake. Take at least 500 mg daily — or up to bowel tolerance. Magnesium is calcium’s natural antagonist. Citrate, like vitamin C, is a great chelator of calcium, with or without magnesium.
There are proprietary herb formulas that may help dissolve your stones. One product is called KST from Kroeger Herbs. There are many other herbal formulas available. Many work and they are certainly worth trying. Look on the Internet for formulations. My favorite is the Chinese herbal formulation called Shin Lin Tong. Or see your integrative physician for his favorite.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

I don't know about dissolving them, but fiber is key in helping to prevent them. Fiber attaches itself to other things in the body and helps them "out", because most fiber does not break down and digest. It is recommended that most healthy people get 25-35 grams of fiber per day. Most people don't even get half of the minimum. Men should be on the upper echelon of that number.

speaking from experience here....LEMONAIDE!!!!! the citric acid in the lemons breaks down the stone...i didnt even feel it pass i had a 5x5mm stone and it broke it into little pieces..all i heard was the clank against the strainer they gave me. you need to drink at least 4 to 5 liters of fluid...teas and milk CAUSE the kidney stone.

Use fresh pineapple juice. Buy 7 whole pineapples, juice and drink one daily for a week. This works for liver and gallstones, and I'm sure that it will work for kidney stones, too.
