Unfortunately it doesn't seem to absorb very well which is a problem if you want to apply it prior to your make-up. Any tips anyone; can you recommend a particular brand of haemorrhoid cream for this purpose? Or is it my technique?!

I tried it before too and it didn't seem to help.
The best thing for undereye circles is to use a concealor that isn't too light. Make sure it matches your skin. If it is lighter, then you will just highlight the area. Then, using a brush, apply a sheer light yellow powder under the eyes. The yellow offsets the blue tones and make the circles disappear.

It used to be that you could use preparation H to shrink the tissue under your eyes which would give you a minilift. About 7-8 years ago the company changed the chemicals used in P-H so that it no longer gives the same shrinking tightening effect when topically applied to the face.

It does help to some extent, but use the gel as it's transparent, and not the cream which is white and messy. Be careful not to get it in your eyes, though! Wash your hands afterwards

It doesn't shift dark shadows, it shifts bags.
There's some stuff on the market for dark shadows in ladies make up but I can't recall the brand name.
If the dark shadows are caused by cocain, you know the answer LOL

I don't know if this would work but i know that a cream called germalloids is quite thin and think that may go on as a moisturiser b4 make-up would work. Its from the maker of germolene. Hope this may help you.

i have a problem with this too, i use a undereye concealer that best matches my skin colour, blend it in then apply my bronzer and u cant notice them at all, try it, it works wonders cos the powder makes the concealer stay, it doesnt crease and the bronzer blends it in perfect. good luck.
