I heard it was Michael Winner, and i think this is true!!!! All the clues about him point to him too (i.e posh voice, asking older women out) I believe it is him.
However, I have also heard rumours that it was somebody out of corrie!!

I reckon "the banker" is a team of psychologists who monitor everyone's behaviour while they are on the wings so they have a pretty good idea what figure will be needed to get the player to deal even before their game starts.

no one knows. however i have a strong feeling he's a real banker for one of our UK banks that deal with deal or no deals finances.
