Because it always ends up making me cry......I swear, I can be having an awesome day, and if I go somewhere there's country music playing, I end up blubbering like a baby within 30 minutes.....

Remember when they were trying to flush Noriega out by playing loud rock music? They should have just played country music.....he'd have been running out the front door bawling and begging for mercy within an hour! : P

It hits home..that's the emotion, we can relate to a lot of it, that it's job...to make you cry. You know the saying, if you play a country record backwards, you get your wife, your dog and you truck back.

I like country music, but, you're right. I really have to watch what kind of mood I'm in before I start listening to it or I'll end up in a blubbering mess.

if you're getting an emotional reaction out of country music, it probably means you find it interesting and good. That's your own personal thing. I personally find much of country music annoying.

Thus what you suggested in the second paragraph might not work, as people are different. They are moved by different things.

And that's a good thing. How boring would life be if we were all the same?

Personally I like C&W. But that's my personal opinion. Some songs make me cry, too. Some make me laugh, and some even inspire me. But I also like rock, R&B, Jazz, Classical, and some Big Band Era stuff. There are very few kinds of music I don't like, but some I can't stand at all.....I don't feel the need to insult the intelligence of those who don't like the same things I like (like Eskimo Love apparently does--people who do that are only showing their lack of intelligence).

I really have to agree with you because country music has so much feeling. Just about everyone can relate to the words.

I don't listen to it because I hate that twangy sound. Plus a lot of the lyrics are kinda stupid. That said, I like a couple of country songs, but only a couple.

i dont like country, thats why i dont listen to it. its too twangy and it makes the singer sound stupid. most of the sounds are truely depressing. my friends like to listen to it because they say it makes them relax but it makes me sad. some of the perky songs just dont sound like songs, they sound like people trying to sing like hillbillys and doing a very bad job of it.

thats only my opinion. i have nothing against some of the country artists or the people who listen to them
i just never have liked country.
i preffer the hard rock, pop, and the old fashion rock and roll. im also in love with this band called the cores. they have beautiful songs that i could listen to forever, anyone heard of them?

That's why Bubba shot the jute box because it played a sad song but Bubba said it was a justifiable homicide
