If you think that there is nothing promising about living in America, I would like you to spend at least a day in the shoes of someone who lives in a different country where people fight uphill battles to survive everyday. I am not saying that our country is perfect or always promising, but we have more opportunities and voice than most people in other countries. You should be thankful for the freedoms and liberties we have here.
The "easy button philosophy" is just evidence that we have begun to take the good things we have forgranted, like running water that is suitable to drink and freedom of religion and speech.
