The fast food fish and chip restaurant, is it pronounced Treacher's with a long 'e' like teacher or a short 'e' like treacherous? And what state are you from, is this a regional thing? Here in Maryland, I've always said it with a long 'e' like teacher.

It's a short e as in Treacherous.
I'm in Pennsylvania, it's not a regional thing. A friend of mine worked there and she told me their goofy training video's had everyone pronouncing it the way with the short e.
