I've always been a believer that people should not be allowed to marry until they reach the age of thirty (30). What I'm saying is that you sound relatively young (in your late teens, I'm guessing). Neither you, nor your friend, should know exactly what you want in a relationship. If he's not ready for a serious relationship, then thank him for being honest. It really doesn't matter why. Be thankful that he didn't string you along like other guys probably would.

if a guy admitted he was not ready for a serious relationship, it could either mean that he is mature enough to admit he isn't ready, or it could mean he wants to see other women the same time as you. perhaps he has been hurt in the past as a result of being in a serious relationship so he is afraid to try again. that seems more likely then cheating in your situation. good luck!

he`s not making much sense here first he`s telling you he`s not ready for a serious relationship and then telling you he wants to be with you forever??
If someone told me they weren`t ready for a relationship then i`d assume they`re just wanting to take things slowly and have some fun before settling down.

maybe well im just speculating here, but i reckon that he's scared, and loves you, but is scared of getting together eventually being the demise of ur relationship (as in u will fall out)
give it time to grow at a natural pace, see what happens, then think about it afterwards. Basically, dont rush into anyting

I think it means he doesn't want to get to close to soon because the relationship might not work out. If this is the case, take things slow. Really slow and hopefully no one will get hurt. Ask him if he is scared that you might get hurt or that he might hurt you.

I have been in your situation and normally it means that they still want to play the field but keep you as a back-up.
He is probably really into you and if you can wait for him to commit and settle down then go for it but don't let him hold you back.

It means that maybe he has goals and dreams he wants to persue before he has a serious relationship. It's called living your life by design and there is nothing wrong with it.

All different reasons here. This guy could of bean hurt once before and wants to take it easy with you or he could just want ab it of fun with you. I have a good idea sit down and talk to him find out about his past dig deep with him and if he is wasting your time dump him they are better guys out there.
