As long as big business has the controls on government that they seem to have then you are correct your rights will be dwindling fast. For a nation that had so much influence and power over the 1900's it appears that the 2000's are depleting it back each year. With a President like George W. I would say that your country has lost over 15% of the value it had before he was elected. Transferring funds raised as taxes to foreign countries is like taking your bank account and giving it away to your neighbours. If they used it wisely and got into a position to help you if you needed it then fine that would be thinking ahead. The problem with the USA is that once the money has been spent, wasted, given away, stolen away, the guys who got it still hate your country. Don't get me wrong they love you for helping them but they just hate the way your President does things and to get back at him they do what they do. If you ever needed help down the road, don't count on Iraq, or Afghanistan to be rushing any aid your way. The future may not be lost but the next President you elect cannot be another like George Bush.

Bev, I agree and we as citizens and consumers MUST take back our Country. While I don't think we have delegated our rights away, we have had them taken from us. Our government is like a rapist, they take it from us-even when we say NO. With all of the U.S. companies moving their production to other countries we continue to lose employment opportunities. Hershey announced last week they will lay off 15,000 U.S. employees and that they will open a plant up in Mexico. I have made a conscientious choice to quit supporting this firm and am constantly looking at ways to quit buying product from companies who move out of our country at the expense of citizens of the U.S.A. We must all take a firm stance and quit supporting these companies. If it aint made in the U.S.A. then I do not want it....(Girl...you got me started). SMILE.

how do you "delegate" your rights away and what rights have you "delegated"
I've been an American citizen all my life and I have the same rights I was born with. I have a better future and earning potential here than anywhere else on earth. If you know of someplace you feel is better perhaps you should take steps to move there.
