Not too early at all! At 25wks i had purchased everything i needed for baby. At 31wks (current) my house is baby proofed and set up with clothes washed and everything, even down to safety pins for nappies, are arranged. I figure if i happen to go into early labour then atleast my house will be ready for baby to come on in! lol.
I'm really glad i did it too - cause now at 31wks i'm starting to feel more and more tired all the time..... i can't imagine arranging everything on such low energy levels! lol
Enjoy and best of luck to you all :)

Its never to early to start on the nursery, in fact i think this would be the best time to do it, when you are still feeling good, and energetic. And you also dont want to feel rushed, when starting it the month before your due. The later you get in your pregnancy the more you will find out that doing simple things take up more energy then before. During the last month or month and a half you want to get as much rest as you can. That way you have energy for delivery, and when baby is home.

I think it is a great idea. I'm only 3 months and my bf and his dad are working on the nursery. Although in my case the room has to be wired for electricity and maybe insulated more, who knows what else.
But you should definitely do it while you feel up to it. Also, just in case he decides to come earlier than expected it would be good to have it all ready for him. Congrats and Have Fun

We started my son's nursery around this time because the last thing that I wanted was to be as big as a house and trying to paint and move furniture or the worst have him show up early and him not have a nursery ready!

Go for it! Some babies are born early, you know.
And being prepared is a good thing. We just finished painting and hanging the wall border and putting up the switch plate (I am 29 weeks). We just had my baby shower and bought the rest of the stuff we needed. Our furniture will be delivered in a few weeks.
we also bought diapers and wipes, too.
My doctor pesters me at every appointment about whether I am ready yet! And we have another 12 weeks.

I think you are going to be a great mommy. With my first, I washed and folded, then refolded again and again and again. It isn't too early to start the nursery, I think it will be a great relief to you to have everything done early so you can sit in the nursery and sing and read to your belly. It's sweet. Congrats and good luck

7 months is fine. If you don't particularly have anything else urgent around the house to do, then go for it! If the cot sheets or clothes get dusty from sitting around for a couple of months you may need to wash them again, but if not, then you'll be completely organised and that's fabulous!

Now is a good time
I wouldn't wait too the 8th month because moms tend to tirer and get more cranky around the time the baby is do. While you still have all your strength I would go for it
