I don't think you should go behind their backs. I think you should talk with them calmly and explain that they have a new album, and that you really enjoy their music. Try to find out why your parents are so concerned about your going (I'm a parent, and I'm with you - the notions that you've "seen them enough" or that you "can't decide so early" sound like excuses to me). However, it does sound like they have SOME kind of concern, so try to address the concern. If it's money, then I'd have to say that if they've paid for two concerts already, then that's enough, especially if the tickets are pricey; perhaps you can find a way to come up with the money on your own. If it's the environment in which they play (or even if they've HEARD bad things about it), then maybe you could talk to them about those concerns. If it's something else, talk to them calmly about it, whatever it is. I don't think it's a good idea to blow you off without a solid reason, but I also don't think you should go behind their backs; that would simply give them reason to mistrust you, and that's bad for everybody involved.

Newer bands go on tour to promote and sell their new material. Older bands go on tour to pay their bills.
Explain to your parents that this band has new recordings and it will not be the same show as the two previous ones. It's not like you're going to see REO for the 3rd time. Also explain that getting the tickets early is essential in getting good seats. If they say no it may be because they cannot afford it. If that's not the case then accept their decision and just buy the new CD, but don't go behind their back. Parents are smarter than you.

It's never a good idea to go behind your parents' backs and abuse their trust in you. But if you have already seen this band twice with parental permission, it shouldn't be a big issue as long as you pay for your own ticket and related costs. Talk to them about it on those terms.

your parents probably have a good reason for not wanting you to go....talk to them, find out if its just because you have seen them 2 times or if its some other reason....tell them how much you like the band, and enjoy the concerts...let them know they can trust you to make the right decisions...and follow through...dont lie to them that will break the trust they do have in you then your life will be pure hell from then on...its pretty tough to gain that trust back. :)

Reminds me of something I used to do...but right now I'd suggest you talk to them.(I've discovered they do things for a reason).
Even though I know talking to them never really gets you anywhere you can at least try.
Because think about what would happen if they find out about it...
besides, it IS too early to decide for something so far ahead.

I don't really understand why your parents have a problem with you seeing this band a 3rd time...as long as you are paying for it and they are not inconvenienced in any way, I think you should be able to go...

I base my answer on the information you gave...they could have a legitimate reason

Ask them again later. Tell your parents you'll pay for the tickets. Don't bug them too much, or they'll say no. Don't go behind their backs, or you'll never go to another concert in your life.

Don't go behind their backs, just explain how much you like this band and maybe if that doesn't work, just keep trying every now and then... Maybe you could talk them into letting you go...
