My daughter is 7 months and breastfeed. What can I use to get ride of the stain from when she leaks (we change clothes about 5 times a day due to this and now everything is stained) and when she explodes when I change her dippie. I am on a budget so those nice stain removers are not that handy. Right now I fill up the bathroom sink with cold water and wash them with dish soap and then leave them to soak untill I go to the laundry mat. (yes no washer either). And they still come out stained Any ideas?

Ok I really do not like the coment telling me how often to change my babys dipper. She has had two diper rashes her hole life. I am very good about changing a diper after she goes. She is on solid food but she got really sick and was on anti biotics. We stoped that a day ago and she has been eating normaly for the last 3 days so now we are just waiting for everything to get back to normal

Rinse in cold water straight away and then use a toothbrush to scrub in a little bit of detergent and water to the spot. Spray n Wash works well, but that is an extra expense. Don't worry, she'll stop leaking so much once you start solid foods. Good luck!

I found the BEST thing to get out poopy stains is about 8 hours of direct sunlight. Now I don't know how well that will work in winter but try it. Can't hurt and it is free!
Also about the leaking two things: 1) go up a size 2) Make sure there is a gap between the bum and the diaper or else when the poop comes out it has no choice but to go right up the back of the diaper. Oh and you can use cloth diaper covers over disposables. The best ones are made of wool and if you are handy you can sew them out of thrift store sweaters or ask on freecycle because it does't matter if they have holes. I know it is more to wash in some ways but it should save her clothes.

Instead of waiting till it is dry with anything your best bet is to get in there and rinse it off right away while it was fresh. Get a larger sized diaper, a diaper that is too small tends to leak more than one that is the right size. I like Pampers Cruisers, they hardly ever leak for me. You might also try to get some plastic panties so that if she does leak less gets on the clothing. It is better to spend a little extra on better diapers or better stain remover than on new clothes since they are a lot more expensive. Kids already grow out of their clothes too fast.

Rinse out as much of the solids as possible. Put a little of her laundry soap on the spot, rub it in really well, and soak. That is what I do, and I have managed to get the stains out (most of the time).

Oxy baby clean, I know that you said stain removers aren't affordable, but I am on a budget too. I bought a bottle for £4 about a year ago, and I still have the same bottle for the occassional stain.

Lots of great answers but the best are the ones that suggest a size bigger and a better brand of dippies. Cut those coupons baby they are really more cost effective in the long run.

If you go to the Laundromat, buy one of those $1.00 packages of detergent and keep it on hand. When she stains something, rub the detergent into the stain and let it rest until you can get it to the laundry. If it's white clothing, buy a small package of bleach at the 'mat and pour it on the stain.

try bleaching them and then rewash them in whatever detergent that you normally use for your baby to get rid of the bleach. if you haven't already done so, i would change diapers...Huggies is a really good brand
