To answer your question, yes, I am alone on most holidays too. I have found it is a great time to catch up on things I have otherwise neglected. Clean the house, work on some reading, or writing, do some cooking, do something that I enjoy. Keep yourself busy with any kind if activity and you won't notice that lonely feeling, and if you do spend some time on the Internet, answer some questions, talk to someone on 360, they may be lonely too. Best wishes and good luck...But stay busy is the key.

Read the Bible. I recommend the New King James Version. You can even get it on DVD. I had to move into an apartment the first time I ever moved away from my parents. I was totally alone and completely depressed. I had faith in nothing or anyone around me. Then, I began to read the Bible, and I knew there was a reason to keep living. I knew why my life would be better, and it did become better. I still think blondes are the sexiest women on earth. I wish I lived near a cute blonde. I live in Tennessee. Most women my age are either married, or they are so fat and hideous that no man would ever consider marrying them. Read the Book of Psalms in the Bible. King David of ancient Israel wrote the entire Book of Psalms. He was constantly at war with the enemies of Israel. He was at his wit's end. He was hunted like an animal by his enemies. His life seemed hopeless, and he was ready to die because he almost lost his faith in God.

Yep. I've been single for just about a year now and enjoy it. Most my friends are busy so for that night I will have a full pamper kit in and spend the evening in a candle lit bath with wine and chocolates. Not ideal but it's not often you get a chance to spend an evening pampering yourself!

if you have a job, go to work - then come home, or go to the gym, cook dinner, go get a pedicure, just pretend like it's a normal day!
it only lasts 24 hours and you're sleep for 7-8 of them....it'll pass - it could be worse....my anniversary with my ex IS ON valentine's day...

I'm sorry that your marriage is on the rocks.
I don't know what else to tell you.
I can give you a list of DON'Ts....
DON'T
get drunk
go have a one night stand
or any other behavior that would destroy your chances of reconciling with your husband, or ruin your sense of self worth.

Hang out with friends....or if you have kids, have a special day with them. I have been alone on Valentine's day before and treated it like a regular day. I hope you get everything straightened out.
