To be honest, we are worse off than our parents and grandparents were. The reason is that here where we live, all the wonderful opportunities to work in factories, banks, offices are gone...to Mexico! When my husband and I graduated, you didn't need to go to college because there were so many places to get jobs. Now there's nothing. My husband drives 100 miles a day to work. My parents and grandparents had better jobs and better benefits than we do.
