They were working fine the day before yesterday. Today they're not working. Nothing is muted, I've been to control panel and checked it. Strange enough, when I talk into the mic, it doeas work fine! I just can't hear anything coming from the PC. Why?

do the speakers have any switches on them that may have been hit or plugs unplugged? If not then go back into control panel and make sure that the computer is still recognizing the speakers are hooked up. You might also want to make sure that the player that you are trying to play sound through is set correctly. Hope this helped.

Hello,

(ANS) Your audio drivers are either a) corrupted or damaged, or got deleted by mistake. b) uninstall the sound drivers & re-install them but dont forget to reboot the machine after you remove them or the re-install wont work. That should fix you problem almost certainly so!!

**Make sure you have MS digitally signed drivers otherwise that might be a part of the problem.

**You could have conflicting hardware, i.e. conflicting IRQ's

Best Regards IR

My pc grow to be like in trouble-free terms 10 months previous and my pc of crap mouse done that, then stopped all mutually...they suggested to deliver it in and they might replace it, yet I were given mad and slammed it up hostile to the wall, so I basically went to Wal Mart and baught a sparkling Logitech !!

This may sound obvious but check the connection to the back of your PC - ensure that they are plugged in. If they have their own power source, ensure that they have power...if everything is plugged in and powered, it is possible that your soundcard outputs somehow have been "fried" - you may have to replace the card....
