No, it's not. I've been on My Space and have seen some disturbing things. A friend of mine, her daughter had a My Space and was talking to what she thought was a 13 year old kid. Turned out the guy gave my friend's daughter his cell number and asked her to meet him at a local mall, so my friend called him up, and it turns out he was actually a 40 something man who had a record of pedophilia as long as my friend's arm! There are a LOT of predators on that site.

Needless to say, my 12 year old isn't allowed on that site. But, then again, you never know who you're REALLY talking to on ANY of those sites. It just seems as if My Space has a lot more freakish people on it.

There is nothing wrong with My Space if you use COMMON SENSE (which not many people on the interent seem to have) You can make the profile "private" so that anyone wanting to message the person HAS to be on their "friends" list prior to messaging. I have had a My Space account since My Space began and have never had any problems, you do not HAVE to add people to your friends list if you don't WANT to add them and you can block people as well as messages...Of course Parental supervision is a MUST for a child of 11 on the internet and time she spends on the internet SHOULD be limited. She should NOT have a computer in her bedroom.

No.... I mean the IDEA is, but myspace has basically become a way for guys and girls to advertise themselves... while most kids wouldn't act on the kinds of images they put out, molesters could certainly come along and MAKE them act on it.
