Thank you for the exchange rate, but that was not what I was looking for. What I am looking for is information of penalties that would occur for converting millions of pesos into dollars. Neither Mexico or the US likes citizens to cross borders with large sums of money. I'm in the process of iiquidating my father's estate in Mexico and transfering the funds to the US. The question I have is what fees are their when one transfers large sums of money from one country to the next.

Two answers for that matter:

a) Cash: You can only move up to US$10,000.00 per flight.

b) Bank transfer: You should not have a problem. You can do this with CityBank, JP Morgan, etc. Once you get a buyer, you just get your money (the Notary Public will withold all your taxes for you) into your Mexican account and send a transfer your US account. No restrictions apply as long as you have paid all your taxes. You will not pay taxes twice, obviously. The US and Mexico have entered into an agreement to "Avoid Double Taxation".

Hope this helps.
