it is way too much money but some people say that is has good graphics and good games.

Yes, it is, alot of people may think differently but the ps3 has blu-ray which usually runs for a $1000, it runs off of linux, comes with a 60GB harddrive, has a large selection of games, Metal Gear Solid, Grand Turismo, Ridge Racer, Resistance Fall of Man, Final Fantasy to name a few, the graphics as of right now are exactly the same as xbox360, but let us look at it in another perspective xbox360 has been out for a year longer, sony is known to have more console dedication than microsoft, for example, the ps2 is still coming out with games and they are still making ps2 consoles and will continue to until its 10 year mark whereas the original xbox has stopped game production entirely as well as console production. So you when you get a ps3 you will have a longer console life because of the companies dedication to the console. What is more PS3 is better than xbox360 because it has a the Cell processor which is much more capable of handling high defininition games. Blu Ray has up to 50GB of memory on it. Whereas High Definition DVDs only have 15GB at most. The PS3 controllers have motion sensing so you arent losing out to the Wii. The Wii is nice to have but I personally played and it gets boring even with zelda after a half an hour.

Well, it depends. If you want a good system that has a decent amount of games than yes, but if you want a system with a great amount of games go with the 360. Also, I recommend that if you buy the PS3, make sure you have and HDTV to go with it. The PS3's hardware is designed for HDTV and there is no point in spending that much money for a PS3 if you don't have a HDTV. It is like spending $600 for a normal system with normal graphics

No. Not worth the price.
Sony has said the ps3 is losing more money than it has anticipated and that they are seriously considering a price drop. So my advice for you would be to wait, not only will a price drop occur, but you'll get a console that is built later with less problems/bugs than the newer ones that are still out there. Furthermore, there aren't that many good games for it now.

PS3 is a good game system but not for the price. Just wait and see how the price will go down. Don't buy just yet.

If you badly want resistance then yes... but 360 is ten times better plus they have gears which is a million times better then resistance so don't waste your damn money on the ps3

there aren't many good games yet. only like a few. I would wait about half a year before buying it. Or just buy the 360

No-- it's a real waste.
Sure, the pictures are pretty. But they are
good-enough on other consoles which cost less.
And because it has sold so poorly, there will be fewer hot titles for it.
