18 ft. I was in a blizzard in Canada where the snow came up to the second story of a house.

The most snow I have ever seen was almost 14 foot in upstate New York.

I grew up in Colorado. One storm was really intense- moreso for the speed at which it fell rather than the totals. we had to drive across town and it usually takes us 30 minutes (took 45 cuz the snow was starting to fall). the return trip took over 4 hours, because in that time frame, over 3 feet of snow fell. all told, it was about 4 feet in 6 hours. yowza! that was the most i saw in a single storm.

There was a snow storm a few years ago when I lived in Maine where we had up to 8 feet on the ground.
