You could pretend to write a letter to his wife. She and her family were loyalist (Loyal to the king, whom the patriots were fighting against) or to his dear friend George Washington (Washington thought of him as a son). At the beginning of the American Revolution, Benedict Arnold was happy- he was the hero of the Battle of Saratoga (He went and continued to fight after his commander wanted them to retreat) You could write a letter after his battle and you could talk about how happy he was.

Go to the library and see examples of how people wrote letters back in that time, the librarian can help you find this..You also need to research The Battle of Mohawk to find out what it was about. No one is going to do your homework for you, that is why it is called homework. You kids have to stop being so lazy.

A good start would be "Gentlemen of the Continental Congress"... Write it more like a speech, less like a social letter.
