I think us true conservatives are still numerous. We've temporarily lost the party to the neo-cons. 2008 will be the big year for us though. I suspect that if the neo-cons manage to retain control of the GOP, it might be headed to minority status for another 20-30 years. However, if the true conservatives can secure nominations in the House and Senate and remind people of the differences between them and the neo-cons/democrats, then we can win back the House and Senate (barring a new, powerful voice from the right I don't predict a conservative president) and build a strong coalition for 2012.

i dont know what a neo-con is, but im a "true conservative" i base my political affiliations on the traditional philosophies of a conservative.
but some people say neo-cons are racist white idiots, and to me thats very bad!
but i also see an arising problem on both sides with neo-libs and political zealots that believe in one fixed thing with no open mindedness to conflicting ideas.
Where has non-partisanship gone?
and crap like the guy above me is some other junk i cant stand.
conservatives arent white racists, i have a muslim friend, do i hate him? well im a conservative so i guess i do!

True conservatives simply want things to remain the way they have been in the past. The way things have worked in the past. Liberals want to change things. Unfortunately, the people are mainly liberal, and liberalism destroys. The world was fine for the last few hundred years. Then the people started to want power, and it all went to pot.

Depends - the old school racist conservatives aren't much different, they just set their hatred for blacks aside for a moment so they can hate muslims. What a bargain - two for the price of one.
